MỘT SỐ IDIOMS HAY:
- the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree: a child usually has similar qualities to their parents.
Eg: “It’s not unusual that you have the same interests as your mother. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

- to follow in someone’s footsteps: to try to achieve the same things that someone else (usually a family member) has already done.
Eg: I decided to go into law instead of medicine. I thought about following in my father’s footsteps and becoming a surgeon, but I don’t think I’d make a great doctor.

- like father, like son: sons tend to be similar to their fathers. We normally use this idiom to talk about personality, interests, and character
Eg: Jimmy is tall just like his father, and they have the same smile. Like father, like son.

- to run in the family: many members of the family have that quality, skill, interest, problem, disease, etc.
Eg: Heart disease runs in my family. I try to have a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise.

- the apple of one’s eye: Someone’s favorite or most cherished person is the apple of their eye. We often use this idiom to talk about a parent and their child.
Eg: Our grandson is the apple of our eye. We absolutely adore him.

- get along with (or get on with): If two people get along with (or get on with) each other, it means that they like each other and have a friendly relationship. (Get along with is American English, and get on with is British English.)
Eg: If you have a large family, there will likely be some people who don’t get along with each other.

- (just) one big happy family: If a group of people is (just) one big happy family, it means that a group of people (often a family) get along and work well together. We sometimes use this idiom sarcastically.
Eg: Our firm has been successful because of our close-knit relationship. We’re one big happy family.

- bad blood: there is anger or hate between people people due to something that happened in the past.
Eg: Are you sure you want to invite all of your cousins to your party? Isn’t there bad blood between two of them?

การเดินทางที่แสนเหนื่อยและคุ้มค่าที่สุดในชีวิต

หลังจากออกจาก Poon Hill เราก็ที่จะเริ่มเข้าสู่เขตตีนเขาของหิมาลัย ทางเดินเริ่มมีหลากหลายระดับ และท้าทายความอดทนของร่างกายมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ปอดและหัวใจของเราทำงานอย่างหนักหน่วง ช่วงเวลาที่เสียงของลมหายใจดังชัดมาก เมื่อเริ่มเข้าใกล้เทือกเขาหิมาลัย ภูเขาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ตามความเชื่อของชาวเนปาล ที่เชื่อว่ายอดมัจฉาปูชเรเป็นที่ประทับของพระแม่อุมาเทวี เทพสตรีในศาสนาฮินดูที่ชาวเนปาลให้ความนับถืออย่างมาก ดังนั้นการเดินทางเข้าเขตศักดิ์สิทธิ์นี้นั้น ทำให้อาหารหลักในแต่ละมื้อของเราจะมีเพียงแค่ผักพื้นบ้าน เนื้อสัตว์จะมีเพียงปลาและไข่เท่านั้น จะไม่สามารถนำเนื้อสัตว์ใหญ่เข้าเขตนี้ได้ พวกเราที่พกมาม่าหรือโจ๊กคัพรสไก่มาด้วยก็ต้องระบายเสบียงกันให้หมดก่อน และข้อห้ามเด็ดขาดที่หัวหน้าไกด์บอกกับเราคือ ระหว่างทางเดินห้ามทิ้งขยะลงพื้นเรี่ยราด ห้ามถ่มน้ำลายลงตามพื้นดิน เหล่าผู้ชายทั้งหลายต้องทำธุระเป็นที่ในห้องน้ำเท่านั้น เพราะเชื่อว่าจะทำให้การเดินทางไม่ราบรื่น เมื่อเราทุกคนรับรู้อย่างนั้น แน่นอนเราปฏิบัติตามตามคำบอกของบักตะ เราเคารพธรรมชาติ ความสวยงามขนาดนี้ไม่ควรแปดเปื้อนจากเศษขยะของผู้มาเยือนอย่างเรา

เราต้องใช้เวลาเดินอีก 3 วันที่เราจะถึง Base Camp มาถึงจุดที่ร่างกายเริ่มออกอาการงอแง ไม่เคยคิดว่าแค่การก้าวขาไปข้างหน้ามันจะยากเย็นได้ขนาดนี้ ช่วงวัดใจที่แท้จริงมาถึงแล้ว เหนื่อยจนแทบไม่เหลือเรี่ยวแรง ใจที่ว่าแข็งก็ยังกลายเป็นความลังเลว่าจะพอแล้วหรือไปต่อเพราะลิมิตของร่างกายมันฟ้อง เท้าที่ก้าวไปพร้อมกับความคิดที่ตีกันในหัวตัวเองไม่หยุด ถ้าขาดเพื่อนกับไกด์ที่คอยเชียร์ให้กำลังใจเรื่อยๆ ไม่แน่เราอาจถอดใจจากหิมาลัยไปแล้วก็ได้ ระหว่างทางเราก็จะได้เจอเพื่อนร่วมทางกลุ่มอื่นๆ และนักเดินทางที่กลับลงมาจากหิมาลัย เราเดินมาเจอกับชาวต่างชาติที่กำลังเดินกลับ เดาว่าหน้าตาเราคงจะเหยเกและดูจะขาดใจเอามากๆ จนผู้หญิงที่กำลังจะเดินผ่านเราไปหยุดแล้วเอามือสองข้างจับที่บ่าของเราแล้วพูดเป็นกำลังใจสั้นๆ ว่า “Slow and Steady” และเดินจากไปอย่างรวดเร็ว ถึงจะชื้นใจขึ้นมาหน่อย แต่สุดแล้วเราสองคนเป็นขาประจำเดินรั้งท้ายสุดอยู่ดี เรามาถึงที่หมายก็ใกล้หมดวันเต็มแก่ แน่ละเราจะถึงเป็นกลุ่มสุดท้ายตลอด ยิ่งตกดึกอากาศยิ่งเบาบางและเย็นจัด อาหารเย็นที่ทุกคนพร้อมหน้าพร้อมกันตากันอย่างคึกครื้นเวลานี้ค่อนข้างเงียบ เราแทบกินอะไรไม่ลงเลย เพราะความล้าที่สะสม เราต้องอาศัยมาม่ารสต้มยำกุ้ง (ไกด์บอกว่าพกขึ้นมาได้) ประโลมชีวิตให้ได้มีรสชาติบ้างหน่อย
เมื่อจบมื้อเย็นทุกคนแจกจ่ายยาแก้ปวดให้กันแล้วต่างแยกย้ายไปนอน ไม่มีเวลามาจอแจสนุกสนานเหมือนวันแรกๆ เพราะต้องนอนเอาแรงกลับมาให้เยอะที่สุด สำหรับวันรุ่งขึ้น

เราตื่นกันแต่เช้าตรู่ เดินออกมาจากห้องแล้วสิ่งแรกที่ปะทะสายตาคือหิมาลัยที่ตั้งตระหง่านอยู่ตรงหน้า เราทุกคนมีสีหน้าเดียวกันคือสองตาวาวเป็นประกาย ใกล้แล้ว ใกล้มากๆ อีกอึดใจเดียวจะถึงแล้ว วันนี้คือวันสุดท้ายที่เราจะถึง Base Camp เราเดินผ่านลำธารเล็กๆ ข้ามเนินเขา และเลียบแม่น้ำที่เกิดจากการละลายของหิมะบนยอดเขา วิวสองข้างทางกลายเป็นหินผา ทุ่งหญ้าสีเหลือง เราแทบไม่เห็นความเขียวขจีเหมือนกับก่อนหน้านี้แล้วคงเพราะด้วยอุณหภูมิที่ลดลงต่ำของอากาศบริเวณตีนเขา ความซับซ้อน และชันของแต่ละเนิน บวกกับอากาศที่เย็นทำให้เราเดินช้าลงยิ่งกว่าเดิม จนทิ้งท้ายจากคนอื่นๆ เหลือแค่เรากับเป็ปและบอลลี่กันแค่สามคน หมอกเริ่มลอยต่ำจนแทบไม่เห็นข้างทางและทางข้างหน้าเท่าไหร่แล้ว บอลลี่กำชับให้เรารีบทำเวลาเพราะสภาพอากาศดูไม่ค่อยน่าไว้วางใจ เราอาจจะเจอกับพายุหิมะได้ เราเดินไปข้างหน้าอย่างไม่รู้ปลายทางเพราะหมอกที่หนาขึ้นเรื่อยๆ จมูกเริ่มแสบจนต้องหายใจทางปากช่วย ขอบตาและหน้าชาไปด้วยความเย็น พอเดินไปได้สักพักเราก็รู้สึกเหมือนหยดน้ำเล็กๆ ตกลงมาบนหน้า ฝนโปรยปรายลงมาแล้ว เราพยายามรีบเดินเท่าที่เท้าจะก้าวไหว ตอนนี้ละอองฝนเปลี่ยนไปเป็นก้อนน้ำแข็งจิ๋วๆ นิ่มๆ เราหันไปถามบอลลี่ด้วยความตื่นเต้นว่านี่คือหิมะใช่ไหม บอลลี่ยิ้มและบอกว่าไม่ใช่ นี่คือลูกเห็บจิ๋วๆ ถ้าเป็นหิมะมันจะลอยพลิ้วอยู่ในอากาศ พร้อมกับทำมือประกอบให้เราดู ว่าอย่างนั้นแล้วเราก็เดินกันต่อ อากาศเริ่มดูท่าจะแย่ลงสองข้างทางเปลี่ยนเป็นสีขาวโพลน หมอกทึบจนมองไม่เห็นทางข้างหน้า เราเปิดเพลง Your Bone ฟังซ้ำๆๆ พยายามให้มีสมาธิอยู่กับลมหายใจมากที่สุด และอย่างที่บอกเวลานั้นทำนองและเนื้อหาของ Of Monster and Men เป็นอะไรที่เข้ากับบรรยากาศที่สุดแล้ว ทำนองของกลองเต้นเป็นจังหวะเดียวกับเสียงหัวใจของเราในตอนนั้น

และแล้วเกร็ดน้ำแข็งสีขาวเล็กๆ ก็ปลิวลงมาผ่านหน้าเราไป เรายืนมือออกมาเกร็ดหิมะค่อยๆ ร่วงลงบนมือเราอย่างช้าๆ เหมือนกับภาพสโลว์ในฉากหนัง เราตะโกนถามบอลลี่ทันที ว่าใช่ไหม ใช่รึยัง บอลลิ่ยิ้มให้เหมือนเดิมแล้วพยักหน้า เราหันไปมองหน้าเป็ปแล้วตื่นเต้นกันสองคน แต่สิ่งที่เป็ปตื่นเต้นไม่ใช่แค่หิมะ แต่เป็นป้ายไม้ที่ตั้งอยู่กลางหิมะเขียนว่า "Namaste Annapurna Base Camp Warmly Welcome to all internal & External Visitors" เป็นการดีใจที่สุดแต่ไม่มีเสียง ฮ่าๆ ถึงแล้ววววว เรามาถึงแล้วในที่สุดดดด เราขอบอลลี่หยุดถ่ายรูปสักพักกับหิมะแรกของวัน และถ่ายรูปคู่กับป้าย ไม่นานหิมะก็ดูท่าจะตกหนักขึ้น เราเลยต้องรีบเดินเข้าเบสแคมป์ เราเห็นเหล่าลูกหาบของกลุ่มเรายืนโบกมือให้อยู่หน้าที่พัก เราเดินผ่านซุ้มโค้งที่ประดับด้วยใบไม้แห้งๆ กับธงมนต์ เหมือนเป็นประตูชัยของการเดินทางครั้งนี้ ยิ้มออกได้ในที่สุดเมื่อก้าวพ้นบันไดขั้นสุดท้าย พร้อมเสียงปรบมือของลูกหาบและไกด์ที่ยืนรอ เราหันไปขอบคุณบอลลี่ และเข้าไปพักที่โถงกลาง ที่เป็นเหมือนห้องกินข้าว บนนี้ไม่มีเครื่องให้ความอบอุ่นเพราะอุณหภูมิที่ติดลบของที่นี่ทำให้การจุดไฟจะยิ่งทำให้อากาศบางลงกว่าเดิม แม้ตัวจะเย็นเฉียบแต่หัวใจเรากลับอุ่นไปด้วยไฟจุดเล็กๆ

บรรยากาศของอาหารเย็นเริ่มกลับมาคึกคักอีกครั้ง ทุกคนตื่นเต้นกับการพิชิต ABC ได้สำเร็จ และที่สำคัญสมาชิกทุกคนอยู่กันพร้อมหน้า ปลาทูต้มหวานที่ส่งตรงมาจากบ้านเพื่อนเราที่ชุมพรกลายเป็นอาหารแสนอร่อยและหรูหราที่สุดบนหิมาลัย เราแบ่งปลาทูแพ็คที่เหลือให้กับไกด์ ลูกหาบ เจ้าของเบสแคมป์ และกลุ่มพี่ๆ คนไทยโต๊ะข้างๆ ที่ออกเดินทางมาพร้อมๆ กันกับกลุ่มของเรา เราแลกเปลี่ยนพูดคุยกันอย่างสนิทสนม คงเป็นเพราะประสบการณ์ร่วมของการเดินทางครั้งนี้ แต่ละคนออกคุยอย่างออกรสกันสนุกสนานเพราะเหมือนเพิ่งรอดตายมาได้สดๆ ร้อนๆ เมื่อพอหอมปากหอมคอกันแล้ว พวกเราก็ต่างบอกลาและแยกย้ายกันเข้าห้องนอน เพราะพรุ่งนี้เป็นวันสำคัญที่ต้องตื่นเช้ามาดูพระอาทิตย์ขึ้น

หมดพายุจากเมื่อวานแล้วหลงเหลือแต่กองหิมะสีขาวโพลน ที่ตอนนี้ปกคลุมไปทั่วทุกที่ ยอดเขาที่เราหมายใจเอาไว้อยู่เบื้องหน้าเราแล้ว แม้จะเช้าแล้วแต่ยังไม่มีทีท่าว่าจะเห็นแสงสว่างจากพระอาทิตย์ เพราะเมฆหนาสีเทา ภาพบรรยากาศเลยเหมือนถูกย้อมด้วยสีฟ้าหม่นๆ เราซึบซับภาพตรงหน้าไว้นานเท่าที่ร่างกายจะทนความหนาวได้ ใช้เวลาอยู่กับปัจจุบันในขณะนั้นอย่างตั้งใจ เพราะไม่มีสักนาทีเลยที่อยากจะละสายตาไปเลย หิมาลัยอยู่ตรงนั้น หิมาลัยอันทรงสง่า แม้จะผ่านกาลเวลาเนิ่นนานปีแล้วปีเล่าก็ยังคงงดงามตลอดมาและตลอดไปเท่าอายุขัยของโลกใบนี้

เราใช้เวลาเสพสมกับรางวัลตรงหน้าของเราอยู่นาน เรากลับเข้ามาที่ห้องโถง นั่งลงและเขียนโปสการ์ดที่ติดขึ้นมาด้วย ใบนึงถึงตัวเองและที่เหลือถึงเพื่อนสนิท เมื่อเขียนเสร็จเราถามกับเจ้าของเบสแคมป์ว่าจะรบกวนส่งโปสการ์ดนี้ให้เราได้ไหม เพราะเราอยากได้ตราแสตมป์ของ ABC เค้ามองหน้าเราแล้วอมยิ้มเล็กๆ พร้อมกับขอโปสการ์ดไปและแสตมป์ตรา ABC ลงวันที่ 12 April 2018 ลงไป ดีใจมากกกกก ขอบคุณเค้าแล้วยิ้มไม่หยุดเลย (หลังจากนั้นอีกสามอาทิตย์โปสการ์ดก็ถึงมือทุกคน) เราทานอาหารเช้ากันพร้อมหน้าพร้อมตา คุยเล่นกันตามประสา และแน่นอนมื้อนั้นเป็นอาหารเช้าที่วิวสวยที่สุดในชีวิต ถึงช่วงสายๆ เราเตรียมตัวและเตรียมใจกันบอกลาหิมาลัย เพื่อจะเดินกลับแล้ว ยากที่จะบอกลาเหมือนกัน เหมือนยังใช้เวลาไม่พอ เสพยังไม่เต็มอิ่ม แต่เราคิดว่านั่นเองที่ทำให้หิมาลัยงดงามตรึงอยู่ในหัวใจเราจนถึงทุกวันนี้

ขาเดินกลับเป็นอะไรที่ทรหดมาก วันขาลงจาก ABC เราต้องรวบระยะทางของขามา 2 วันให้เหลือวันเดียว แทบตายแบบตายของจริง เริ่มด้วยอากาศหนาวสุดๆ พอกลับลงมาก็เจอกับอากาศร้อน และพลาดไม่ได้เลยคือตามมาด้วยฝน และเพราะทางลาดลงทำให้หัวเข่าเราเริ่มเจ็บแปลบ จากที่เดินช้ามากๆ อยู่แล้วคราวนี้ยิ่งไปกันใหญ่ รั้งท้ายห่างจากคนอื่นๆ ไกลขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เราเดินทำเวลากันอย่างเอาเป็นเอาตาย ฟ้าค่อยๆ มืดลงจนพวกเราที่รั้งท้ายเริ่มกังวล ทั้งไม่แน่ใจว่าระยะทางอีกไกลแค่ไหนและไหนจะทางลาดชันลื่นๆ อีก ในที่สุดความมืดครอบคลุมจนเรามองไม่เห็นอะไรอีกเลย มีเพียงแค่ไฟฉายดวงเดียวของบอลลี่เท่านั้นที่นำทางเรา ตอนนั้นมีแค่เสียงลมหายใจและฝนที่โปรยปรายลงมาไม่หยุด เราก้มหน้าก้มตาเดินจ้ำอ้าวเพื่อไปให้ถึงบ้านพักเร็วที่สุด เราเดินกันไปอย่างไม่รู้เวลาร่ำเวลา จนมีเงาลางๆ ข้างหน้าเราเห็นเหมือนมีคนกำลังเดินสวนมา พวกเราต่างคิดในใจกันว่าคงจะเป็นชาวบ้าน จนเมื่อใกล้ขึ้นเรื่อยๆ แล้วฝั่งนั้นทักมาว่า นมัสเต เราเงยหน้าขึ้นมองพร้อมกัน ปรับสายตาให้โฟกัส แล้วก็ร้องดีใจออกมาว่า พี่ตี๋!!! พี่ตี๋คือพี่แก๊งลูกหาบของกลุ่มเราเอง เค้าเดินมารับพวกเราเพราะเริ่มกังวลว่ายังมาไม่ถึงสักที ดีใจจนน้ำตาไหลเลย พี่ตี๋คุยกับบอลลี่แล้วบอกว่าอีกประมาณ 15 นาทีก็จะถึงจะบ้านพักแล้ว เป็นเวลาเกือบสามทุ่มที่เรามาถึงเป็นกลุ่มสุดท้าย บักตะที่รอพวกเราอยู่พาไปยังห้องพักและพาไปกินข้าว แต่พวกเราเหนื่อยและล้ากันเกินกว่าจะกินอะไรลง เลยขอแค่น้ำขิงผสมน้ำผึ้ง แล้วเข้านอนเลย

ในตอนเช้าเราเลยปรึกษากันในกลุ่มว่าอาจจะเดินกลับอย่างที่เดินขามาไม่ไหว เพราะนอกจากเราสองคนกันเอง คนอื่นๆ เองก็เริ่มล้าและเจ็บหัวเข่าตามๆ กันแล้ว พวกเราเลยคุยกับบักตะถึงว่าจุดไหนที่รถเข้าถึง ที่ใกล้มากที่สุด เราจะไปที่นั่นและนั่งรถยิงยาวเข้าไปที่โพคาราเลย ข่าวดีคือเดินเพียง 1 วันเท่านั้น เท่ากับว่าเย็นนี้เราไปถึงหมู่บ้านที่ว่า และเช้าวันถัดไปก็เดินต่ออีกนิดนึงไปขึ้นรถกลับ เรี่ยวแรงเริ่มกลับมาฮึดอีกครั้งพอรู้ว่าเป็นวันสุดท้ายแล้ว เรามาถึงหมู่บ้านที่จะเป็นที่พักคืนสุดท้ายของการเดินประมาณเกือบ 4 โมง ตอนนี้ทุกคนดูจะสดใสที่จะได้รู้ว่าจะมีรถมารับในวันพรุ่งนี้รวมถึงเราด้วย ที่นี่พอมีสัญญาณโทรศัพท์อยู่หน่อยทุกคนเลยรีบแยกยัายกันไปโทรหาที่บ้าน เพราะขาดการติดต่อไปหลายวัน จากนั้นทุกคนก็มานั่งรวมตัวกันที่ห้องเดียว แล้วคุยเกี่ยวกับทริปนี้ จำรายละเอียดไม่ได้แล้วว่าเรื่องอะไรบ้าง แต่จำได้ว่าหัวเราะกันท้องแข็ง คุยกันไป เราเริ่มได้ยินเสียงจากด้านนอกดังเข้ามาสู้เสียงในห้องเรา พวกเราเปิดประตูออกไป เหล่าไกด์และลูกหาบของเราและกลุ่มอื่นกำลังนั่งลอมวงร้องเพลงสังสรรค์กันอย่างสนุกสนาน เราฉุกคิดขึ้นได้ว่าวันนี้เป็นวันที่ 14 เมษา วันขึ้นปีใหม่ของชาวเนปาล ทุกคนร้องเพลง ปรบมือเป็นจังหวะแล้วออกมาเต้นกันอย่างมีความสุข พวกเราเองก็ไปร่วมวงด้วยอยู่สักพักนึงพร้อมกับอวยพรสวัสดีปีใหม่กับผู้นำทางของเรา เป็นบรรยากาศที่เรียบง่าย อบอุ่น และน่ารักจนเราอดไม่ได้ที่จะยิ้มและอบอุ่นหัวใจตามไปด้วย

วันรุ่งขึ้นเราขึ้นรถกลับมาพักที่โพคาราหนึ่งคืน และกลับมายังกาฐมาณฑุอีกหนึ่งคืนก่อนบินกลับบ้านในวันถัดมา จู่ๆ เวลาก็ผ่านไปไวอย่างน่าเหลือเชื่อ เราพูดกับตัวเองในวันนั้นว่าโชคดีจริงๆ สำหรับการตัดสินใจออกเดินทางในครั้งนี้ แม้จะเหนื่อยที่สุดในชีวิต แต่มันก็คุ้มค่าที่สุดในชีวิตเช่นกัน เราทิ้งความคิดถึงเอาไว้ที่นั่น เราเก็บความทรงจำที่ดีที่สุดกลับมา

Hello friends! Today we're going to share with you how to make the classic chocolate milkshake with real sugar and high quality bittersweet chocolate.

Milkshake is a classic nostalgic and ultimate in retro comfort food. They became a common part of youth popular culture and a symbol of the youth. They are calorie-rich drinks but super yummy.

Actually it’s easy to make at home. In this video, the copycat recipe is from Shake Shack, which is the most famous restaurant in the United States. Their burgers get all the praise, but the shakes are really good, too. Especially the chocolate milkshake (black and white shake). Good news is you don’t need to visit the restaurant, if you have this classic Shake Shack easy chocolate milkshake recipe on hand.

In this recipe, the fudge sauce is the secret of the perfect taste. Always use real sugar and high quality bittersweet chocolate to make it. The fudge sauce is similar to French chocolate ganache. There's so many uses for this, like to use it as topping for ice cream, or drizzle for cake.  Also we prepare another delicious Oreo milkshake for kids. Since now is summer.

How to make blueberry pancakes
☞ Servings : 2 glasses, each 250ml

📍  Ingredients
☞ For the hot fudge sauce
heavy cream 40g
whole milk 83g
granulated sugar 10g
70% bittersweet chocolate 65g
unsalted butter 15g

☞ For the chocolate milkshake
fudge sauce 125g
whole milk 140g
vanilla ice cream 250g

☞ For the Oreo milkshake (1 glass, about 240ml)
oreo cookie 3
whole milk 80g
vanilla ice cream 125g

📍  Instructions
☞ For the hot fudge sauce
1. Add milk and heavy cream and sugar into the saucepan over medium-low heat, bring it to a simmer, then add butter to mix until melted. Remove the pan from heat.
2. Add the bittersweet chocolate into the saucepan and stir often, the chocolate is melting into the cream and butter.
3. Then pour into a pot or a container to let it cool down.

☞ For the chocolate milkshake
1. Throw the vanilla ice cream, milk and fudge sauce into a blender and purée until smooth.
2. Serve with straws in a tall glass. Top with heavy cream and shave a little chocolate Cheers.

☞ For the Oreo milkshake
1. Throw the Oreo cookies, ice cream and milk into a blender and purée until smooth.
2. Serve with straws in a tall glass.
