These purple suede high heels are probably the last pair of shoes that I’m going to buy from Rupert Sanderson (now renamed as ‘Sauvereign’) for a long time. Been a fan of RS since around 10 years ago especially at the beginning when they first opened shops in Hong Kong. Just an estimate I have preowned nearly 30 pairs throughout the years until 3-4 years ago I bought a lot less when the brand went China customers centric. Now most shoes look almost identical except for the colors of the leather and the signature 24 carat gold plated buckles. One word: BORING! 😴RS London line on the other hand remains more subtle and offers more variety in styles and pricing more reasonable.
RS is renaming themselves ‘Sauvereign’ (I haven’t read much about the corporate management changes tbn) but knowing the price level they are going at I just don’t think they are worth it. Now a pair of high heels would cost easily over HK$10,000 to HK$20,000!!!! Yes US$2,500 for a pair of shoes (see second pic)... errrhhhh maybe not!
Anyways, I will definitely miss RS and I hope their London line will continue but looks not promising. There, to the Rupert Sanderson brand I used to know! Farewell farewell! 🥂

Enjoying our mum-and-daughters night walk at 25 metres high above ground and best of all, we were all alone on the Sky Nets!
The girls were a little scared at first because if you look down, you can see all the way below - we were on the 5th storey - no wonder they were off to a wobbly start. It became better once we got the hang of it and the little sister was soon walking freely across and even scaled to the highest points. You just need to be careful of the gaps in between the ropes and not let your shoes get stuck or you might risk spraining your ankle. Tip: Step on the rope intersections for a better grip and more support. Tickets are for one-time entry only so make sure you are truly done with the walk before you exit.
I can't believe it was nearing 10pm when we did this so that means we were at Jewel Changi Airport for a total of 13 hours yesterday! Well, we definitely made the most out of the school holiday, right? See my stories and highlights to find out more about the attractions in Canopy Park and how we had fun while bonding as a family.
It's hard to decide if I love Jewel more in the day or at night because both perspectives are hugely different yet equally mermerising. The Canopy Park is now our favourite place to hang out in the mall and it gives you a magnificent view of the Rain Vortex too. The kids were asking me how many times we have visited Jewel and I've lost count, but maybe 5 already? One thing I'm sure of, we'll surely be back for more fun!
P.S. My phone battery went dead while we were walking on the nets but one of the staff (Thank you, Julius Crisostomo!) kindly took this picture for us and sent it to me afterwards too. Big thumbs for the staff's wonderful service and helpful, positive attitude. It's what makes our airport a world-class one!
