生病時您的飲食習慣會否有所改變？有一派人主張生病時飲食清淡，他們認為清淡飲食有助身體加速復原；另一派卻主張生病時飲食如常，因為生病已經沒有胃口，味蕾敏感度下降了，叫他們只吃白粥、白麵包只會更倒胃口，Pizza、炸雞照食，汽水照飲 ！如果有感冒咳嗽，進食哪些食物後會加重症狀呢？
雪糕

致命原因：風寒咳嗽再進食生冷食物是寒上加寒，冰凍的雪糕接觸喉嚨及氣管惹來一輪瘋狂咳嗽。
凍飲
相對嚴重程度：☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
致命原因：與雪糕同樣是生冷食物，風寒感冒的話會令咳嗽更嚴重，再加上凍飲多數帶甜，更易生痰。
奶蓋茶飲
相對嚴重程度：☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
致命原因：奶蓋屬滋膩食物，容易生痰生濕，會加劇咳嗽喉嚨痕症狀，嚴重也會出現頭暈、頭痛，甚至作悶欲吐！
薯片

致命原因：薯片熱氣令人上火，或許會加重痰熱症狀或出現喉嚨乾痛甚至失聲。
朱古力
相對嚴重程度：☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
致命原因：朱古力屬性溫熱，而且加入牛奶及糖製造，容易生痰生濕生熱，會令咳嗽症狀持續。

Craving for these even when you are coughing?
Would your dietary habit change when you are ill? Some would recommend patients to eat lightly because they believe this would expedite their recovery.
On the contrary, another group of people would encourage patients to maintain their dietary habits, under the reasoning that they would probably not enjoy plain porridge and white bread because they have already lost their appetite and their taste buds are not as sharp as before. Instead, they should eat pizza and fried chicken and drink carbonated beverages!
If we are down with flu and cough, what kind of food will affect our recovery?
Ice cream

Reason: Consuming raw and cold food when experiencing wind-cold type of cough is like rubbing salt on a wound. Once the ice cream reaches the throat, it will trigger another round of paroxysmal coughing.
Cold beverages

Reason: Also a type of raw and cold food. Drinking cold beverages will exacerbate the wind-cold type of cough. It would also trigger the production of phlegm.
Cheese milk cap tea

Reason: Cheese topping is thick in nature and has a high satiety effect, and it can trigger phlegm production. The cough might get worse and hurt the patient’s throat. In more severe cases, the patient might even experience dizziness, have a headache, and feel nauseous!
Chips

Reason: Chips will cause heat to accumulate in the body and might aggravate the condition of patients who are already exhibiting phlegm-heat symptoms, suffering from dry and sore throat, and experiencing voice loss.
Chocolate
Level of damage: ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Reason: Chocolate is warm in nature, and chocolate products that contain milk and sugar can induce phlegm production and cause dampness to build up in the body. Eating chocolate would even cause a cough to persist for a longer period.
